Najim Arshad was born on 8th June 1986 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. His parents are Shahul Hameed and Rehma. His father is an administrative officer of the Central Vigilance Commission. Now he retired from his job. His mother is a music teacher. His siblings are Dr. Ajim Shad and Sajim Noushad.
He completed his graduation and post-graduation in Music from Swathi Thirunal College of Music, and he was the rank holder of the University of Kerala in Bachelor of Performing Arts. He got married to Thazni Thaha on 13th September 2015 in Punalur.

Najim Arshad Career Journey
Najim Arshad started his musical career in childhood. He was active in the film industry since 2007. During their school days, he achieved the ‘Kalaprathibha’ title thirteen times at district and sub-district levels.
He debuted as a playback singer in the film “Mission 90 days” directed by Major Ravi with the song ‘Mizhineer.’ He became popular among people through his album ‘I’m Here.’
Through the film “1971 Beyond Borders” he debuted as a music director. He composed two Hindi songs in this film.

Najim Arshad debuted as a playback singer in the film “Mission 90 Days” (2007) directed by Major Ravi. He performed the song ‘Mizhineer.’ In 2008 he performed the songs ‘Jwaalamukhi’ and ‘Thathamma’ for the film “Kurukshetra” directed by Major Ravi.
‘Ente Pranayathin’ and ‘Raavin Viral Thumbinaal’ are other songs presented in 2008 for the film “Chembada” directed by Robin Thirumala. In 2009 he presented the song ‘Disayettum’ for the film “Pattalam” directed by Rohan Krishna.

In 2008 Najeem Arshad won the ‘Vayyankara Madhusoodhanan Award.’ He procured the ‘Thikkurshi foundation Award’ for Best Male Singer in 2013. In the same year, he won the ‘Kerala Film Critic Association Award.’
He gained ‘Lions Club Best Singer Award’, ‘Gulf Malayalam Music Award’, ‘Mollywood Nakshathra Best Male Singer Award’ and ‘Amrita Tv Films Award’ in 2013.
In 2014 he won ‘Cera Big Malayalam Music Awards and ‘Asia Vision Awards.’ In 2015 he won ‘The EFA Award for the Voice of the Year, ‘The Mangalam Publication Film Award for Best Male Singer, and the Ramu Karyattu Award for Best Male Singer.
